Carmen Estate
The Franceschi family emigrated to Panama in 1800 from their home in Corsica, France. In Panama, they engaged in several businesses, including cattle ranching, farming, and shipbuilding. In 1950, Carmen Franceschi suggested to her husband, Efrain, that they start a coffee plantation. They named the plantation "Carmen Estate" in honor of Carmen Franceschi's enlightened suggestion.
It was love at first sight, and since that fateful suggestion, the Franceschis have remained involved in coffee production. Today, the farm is run by the third generation of Franceschi coffee producers, and Carlos Aguilera Franceschi is the farm’s general manager. Carmen Estate is now owned by the Dashang Group of Dalian, China.
Geisha thrives particularly well in the high altitudes and ideal conditions of Panama, and this plot is no exception. The region’s microclimate creates a perfect environment for growing the floral and subtle Geisha, and we are delighted to offer this exquisite plot.
